Your gift in kind donation to Hurley Medical Center and Hurley Children’s Hospital can help make a hospital stay or procedure less stressful for our patients, and create a comforting and enjoyable hospital experience for our patients, their families and our dedicated Hurley staff. For the safety and well-being of our patients and families we ask that all donations follow these important guidelines:
All donations must be brand new, odor-free, and in original packaging
Name brand items are preferred for durability and safety
What should I know before making an in-kind donation?
keyboard_arrow_downAll items must be new and need to be approved by a member of the Hurley Foundation staff before they can be accepted. Please call (810) 262-9667 or contact us via email at hurleyfoundation@hurleymc.com to provide the details of your gift. Please allow 5-7 business days lead time ahead of your intended delivery.
Do you have an updated list of items needed for young patients treated at Hurley Children’s Hospital?
keyboard_arrow_downYes! The Child and Family Life team at Hurley Children’s Hospital carefully curates and updates the ‘Wish Lists’ linked below. Many items on this list are suggestions. We welcome donations that are similar but different brands, quantities, colors, etc.
Does Hurley Foundation accept clothing?
keyboard_arrow_downYes. Hurley Foundation can accept NEW clothing size preemie to adult (onesies, coats, shoes, underwear, included). Please contact us at (810) 262-9667 to coordinate a clothing donation. Due to safe sleep guidelines, we are not able to accept crochet hats or blankets.
What items are you unable to accept?
keyboard_arrow_downHurley Foundation is unable to accept the following:
Gift wrapped items
Crocheted or knit blankets or hats
Gently used or used items
Violent themed items (i.e. blood, swords, guns, including nerf guns)
Religious-themed items
Handmade items, including cards
Medical supplies
Can I deliver my donation directly to patients?
keyboard_arrow_downDue to infection control guidelines, donors will not be allowed to personally distribute gifts directly to patients. Additionally, to protect the privacy of donors and patients we ask that donors refrain from including any personal information, messages, and logos.
Where is Hurley Foundation located?
keyboard_arrow_downThe Hurley Foundation main office is located in the School of Nursing building on Hurley's Main campus located at One Hurley Plaza in Flint, MI 48503. The designated spot for gift in kind drop-offs is the small visitor parking lot outside of the Foundation office. Please call (810) 262-9667 to schedule your drop-off.
Can my organization donate a silent auction item or branded promotional materials for a future event?
keyboard_arrow_downHurley Foundation events are supported by a variety of donations from businesses in our community including travel, entertainment experiences, sports tickets, and gift cards. Call (810) 262-9667 if you’re interested in partnering on this type of gift.
